The Hillsborough Chamber of Commerce will award two scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to graduating
members of the Hillsboro-Deering High School Class of 2011. The successful candidates will have demonstrated a
balance between academic achievement, attendance and on-time arrival to school, extra-curricular involvement and
community service. The applications will be judged on merit, not financial need. Other specific criteria may
apply. All information submitted will be held in the strictest confidence.
AWARD: The funds awarded may be used for tuition only. The award checks will be made payable directly to
the selected educational institution to be credited to the recipient's account. The scholarship will be awarded
in two payments: the first check for $500 can be used in the first or second semester. The remainder of the
scholarship ($500) will be sent to the institution once verification is received from the institution that the
student has enrolled for another semester. Certain restrictions may apply.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
1) Complete the application
2) Obtain copy of school transcripts
3) Submit your completed application with transcript(s) by May 12, 2011 to one of the following addresses
